I have been taking care of my skin since the early age of 17, not because I had any issues but because I have always been aware that my body is my holy temple. I started off merely with moisturizer (you don´t really need anything else at that age!) but got really inquisitive over the years.
One brand I have been using in my skincare routine for quite a while now is Kiehl´s, which was born in 1851 in NY and has been using natural ingredients like lavender, calendula, caffeine, beech extract, rosa arctica, since then.
I like to start off the day washing my face with the Kiehl´s Calendula Deep Cleansing Foam, which eliminates all the impurities and oil from the night´s serum and moisturizer. It’s a soft formula that activates with water, leaving your skin smooth and smelling great thanks to the calendula. The best part? Its soap and paraben free!
I recently bought the Toning Lotion with Camomile from Clarins, which is alcohol free, and I have to say that I just love how refreshed my skin feels, also the smell is a plus!
I don’t usually have much time in the mornings during weekdays so I don’t do masks or exfoliations, but go straight to the eyes with the Eye Contour Gel from Clarins, which I like to keep in the fridge during warmer months. It’s a non-oliy formula that instantly de-puffs, hydrating the area with wild rose, aloe vera and cornflower.
I have been combining the Énergie de la Vie Moisturiser from LancÔme, which has a high concentration of hydrating agents with antioxidant-rich and energizing plant extracts (French Melissa, goji berry & gentian), and the Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate from.. can you guess? Kiehl´s, of course. The first one swears on giving you instant glowing skin, which does, but my skin tends to be extra dry on the cheeks areas, reason why I like to mix both serums at the same time. The second one brightness the dull and tired skin, which works wonders for me.
After killing time whilst changing clothes and letting the serum sink in I go straight to either the Chanel Hydra Beauty Crème, for warmer weathers, or the Kiehl´s Ultra Facial Cream for colder seasons.
Do you use any of these products? What´s your morning routine?
