Paris, what a lovely, hectic, graceful city. This was my second time here and I can definitely say I have enjoyed it more than the first time. That first time was back in March earlier this year, also for Fashion Week, and the weather couldn’t have been more unpleasant; heavy rain, non-stop wind and of course cold. Also it was my first time travelling for work and a couple of things did not turn out as they were supposed to. But this time it was all about pleasing temperatures with a little bit of drizzle, mid season jackets as well as satisfaying work results.
For the ones that do not know I moved to Barcelona from Buenos Aires in February 2015. One year later and after a series of unfortunate jobs I started working at Elite Model Management. I started almost 2 years ago as an assistant and after what felt like a blink in an eye, more and more responsibilities came along turning the assisting only half of my job. As far as today my leading tasks include the Zara and Mango e-commerce which is as a big responsibility as it is exciting.
So both clients hold castings during this time of year knowing that THE best models will be around, then it´s always always a good opportunity to strengthen relationships, make sure the models make it to the castings and mingle with other agents from the office.
As I have mentioned before in the White Statement post, I have always been a neutral shades kind of girl, eluding bright & loud colours, until now. Red has forever been a big no no for me since I can recall (except for rouge), but lately I have been looking at it with sweeter eyes. My ideal combination of red right now is with white, ivory, grey, camel and light blue.
I´m not going to start buying every single item in red but when I saw this blazer many ideas bloomed.. This time I paired it with white flared jeans, light blue knit top and one of my to go sneakers right now. A masculine minimal look with a touch of feminine, trying not to look like a French flag.
